United Way Announces Legislative Breakfast

United Way 2013 Legislative Breakfast set for December 11th  

The Greenwich United Way Community Planning Council’s Legislative Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, December 11th in the Greenwich Town Hall Meeting Room. The annual event takes place from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m.   All interested residents, local organizations and service agencies, town government employees, and other community leaders involved in local health and human services are invited to take part. United Way President Stuart Adelberg will report on the 2013 Update to the 2011 Needs Assessment and State of Greenwich Statistical Portrait and introduce

moderator Brook Urban. State Representatives Alfred Camillo, Livvy Floren, Stephen Walko, State Senator Scott Frantz, and Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei will participate.

Mr. Adelberg notes that today’s economic stresses continue to effect individuals, families, government entities and non profit health and human service providers. The United Way’s annual forum provides an opportunity for sharing important information, an open discussion, and an overview of priorities and collaborative efforts.
