FOR RELEASE FROM GREENWICH UNITED WAY April 17, 2015

Terra, Mediterraneo Restaurants Continue Support with 10th “Week of Caring” April 27-May 3

April 17, 2015 – During the week of April 27th to May 3rd, two popular restaurants in downtown Greenwich — Terra & Mediterraneo — will show their support for our community’s United Way by hosting a “Week of Caring.”  Proceeds from people dining at these establishments during the week will benefit the work of the non-profit charity.

Ramze Zakka, owner of both Terra and Mediterraneo, has hosted this “Week of Caring” since 2006, and has raised $18,000 for the Greenwich United Way through this event in support of its mission.

Terra is located at 156 Greenwich Avenue and Mediterraneo is at 366 Greenwich Avenue.  Executive Chef Marceio Carvalho prepares wood fired pizzas, pastas, meats, poultry, and some of the freshest seafood dishes in Fairfield County at these restaurants.  To ensure that your family and friends have a wonderful time at one of these restaurants during the “Week of Caring,” you should make a reservation by calling Terra at (203) 629-5222 or Mediterraneo at (203) 629-4747.

Greenwich United Way is celebrating over 80 years of leadership and impact in the Greenwich community.  It is the recognized leader in town at identifying and meeting the human service needs of our community.  Each year, more then 550 United Way volunteers research local needs, coordinate the delivery of services, and raise funds in an annual campaign to help provide crucial local programs and services for our most vulnerable residents. In addition, the strategic planning efforts of the Greenwich United Way have given rise to many of our community’s most recognizable agencies.  The United Way’s Annual Campaign is the largest non-government source of funding for human service programs in Greenwich.
