Greenwich United Way Sole Sisters Shoe Drive to Benefit Neighbor to Neighbor

Second annual drive to help Greenwich residents in need

GREENWICH, Conn., MARCH 21, 2019 – The Greenwich United Way Sole Sisters will host a shoe and sock drive March 25-April 5 to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor’s clothing room, which provides clothing for those in need. Donors are asked to bring new and gently used shoes and new socks to the Greenwich United Way office, Perrot Library or Shoes ‘N’ More. Shoes ‘N’ More will also host a special event in conjunction with the drive on April 3, donating 15% of all purchases that day to the Greenwich United Way.

“With 20 percent of Greenwich residents barely making ends meet, the work of Soles Sisters and the Greenwich United Way is vital in helping these residents get the services and resources they need,” said David Rabin, President and CEO of Greenwich United Way. “The Sole Sisters motto of ‘stepping up to help others step forward’ pairs perfectly with the incredible work of Neighbor to Neighbor. This drive offers an easy way to directly support Neighbor to Neighbor’s mission of improving the lives of Greenwich residents in need and strengthening our community by creating access to food, clothing and basic living essentials.”
