On this page, we’ve collected some exciting and impactful volunteer opportunities for you to explore.

Abilis   You will be supervising activities. This is hands on work. Anyone over 16 years old, there will be a background check.

Boys and Girls Club  You must be at least 16 years old. There is a minimum of 25 hours per year. Vaccination is a must.

Building One Community  You must be at least 14 years old and speak fluent English. If you would like to volunteer on site you must be fully vaccinated.

Child Guidance Center For the Mentor Program you must be a college student, graduate, or over 21 years old.

Coffee For Good One to two volunteers are needed daily.

Community Centers Inc.  All ages are welcome.

 Family Centers  You must be 15 years or older to volunteer. Anyone over 18 years old, there will be a background check.

Filling In The Blanks  You must be 14 years or older to volunteer.

Food Bank of Lower Fairfield  Opportunities are available for individuals and groups. Call (203) 358-8898 to find out about volunteer availability.

Food Rescue  Must be 16 years or order. Volunteers can view the available rescues and pick one that fits their schedule.

Horizons  The 2022 Horizons at Brunswick School Program runs from June 27 – August 5. Horizons volunteers must be rising 9th-grade students in our local area, available three consecutive weeks or all six weeks, and able to work all day or afternoons only.  Please contact Marianne Ho Barnum  at 203-625-5809 to request an application.

Inspirica To become a volunteer, sign up on their VolunteerHub or reach out to Sydney DeLago at 203-388-0122.

Jewish Family Services  Volunteering ranges from going to the Supermarket for Seniors to helping the office with administrative tasks.  Please call  203-622-1881.

Kids-in-Crisis  Right now they only have remote and no-contact volunteers for 18 and over.

Laurel House, Inc.  For information about current volunteer needs, please email Contact@laurelhouse.net with the subject line “Volunteer Opportunities”.

Liberation Programs  There is a mix of virtual and in person volunteers. If in person, you must be fully vaccinated.

Neighbor to Neighbor  They accept students and adults volunteers as long as you are fully vaccinated. Also, you should be able to lift 25 lbs.

Pacific House To become a volunteer you will need to fill out a form on their webpage. They will respond within 3 5 business days.

Pathways They are in need of volunteers and specialists in certain positions. Volunteer times are Monday – Friday from 9 am – 2 pm plus some evening and weekend hours are available.

River House  They accept and appreciate volunteers of all ages (from children through older adults). You must be vaccinated and boosted to enter their building.

Rowan Center To volunteer you must be 18 years or older.  There are day and evening opportunities.

Transportation Association of Greenwich (TAG)  Volunteers must be able to lift and carry bags of groceries and push carts full of groceries.

YMCA Greenwich  To volunteer, the age ranges from high school to 18 years or older.  Children are allowed if accompanied by Adults for Planting & Gardening.

YWCA Greenwich The minimum age for volunteering as an individual is 16. An application, in person interview, and background check are required for all individual volunteers.
