THE AMERICAN LEGION – CONNECTICUT SOILDERS, SAILORS AND MARINES FUND

The Connecticut Soldiers, sailors, and Marines Fund was established in 1919 to assist needy wartime veterans and their families. It is administered by the American legion in accordance with the provisions of the Connecticut general Statutes, Sections 27-138 and 27-140, and is governed under the Bylaws of the American Legion Department of Connecticut. Applicants must be residents of the State of Connecticut at the time of application for assistance and while in receipt of assistance. If your request for assistance includes your spouse, he or she must be residing with you. If the request includes children, they must be your natural or adopted children, under the age of eighteen, and residing with you. You must have been honorably separated from the military service.
