WBDC empowers women and men to become thriving employers and more effective employees. From starting or growing a business to increasing income, WBDC illuminates business success in a tangible and accessible way. Founded in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, WBDC is host to two U.S. Small Business Administration – Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO) Women’s Business Centers (WBCs). WBDC’s Financial Clinic (FC) provides a holistic approach to achieving economic security and business sustainability and growth for Connecticut residents and businesses. Our primary goal is to assist clients’ in achieving economic security by addressing their immediate financial challenges and helping them create trajectories for long-term objectives and financial mobility. The FC is located in Stamford and provides training, education and insight into all critical aspects of personal and businesses finances.
