GREENWICH, CT – The Greenwich United Way (GUW) has welcomed two new staff members: Melissa Mendez as Office Coordinator and Nicole Babb as Data Specialist.
The hires follow a strategic restructuring at GUW. To create a more seamless and effective workflow, the organization divided its former full-time Office Manager position into two independent, specialized roles targeted at administrative efficiency and data optimization.
As Office Coordinator, Melissa Mendez is responsible for overseeing daily administrative operations and serves as the primary point of contact for staff, partners, and visitors. A native of Stamford, Melissa brings a deep passion for community-driven impact and is dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission of creating meaningful local change. When not serving at GUW, she remains highly active in civic life, volunteering within her son’s school system and serving as a member of the school board. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband and 12-year-old son, frequently participating in family runs.
As Data Specialist, Nicole Babb is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to track GUW’s mission impact and optimize fundraising efforts. A resident of New Rochelle, New York, Nicole joins the organization with a proven track record in database management and a strong commitment to community service. In her role, she focuses on optimizing data systems to enhance operational efficiency, supporting GUW’s collaborative mission to unite local partners. Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Babb is an avid hiker, swimmer, and dancer.
