Begun in 1943, and later named after Dr. Joyce Yerwood, the first black female doctor in Connecticut, this resource center provides education and personal development opportunities to Stamford’s diverse community. The Boys and Girls Club of Stamford now operates the programs.
An independent, nonprofit center for teens which offers social, recreational, and educational programs and events on weekend evenings and occasionally on weekdays. Founded in 1993, it is open to Greenwich students and residents, the mission of The GTC is to provide teens with a safe environment in which to connect and socialize with their peers.
