Local branch of an international volunteer organization providing year-round training, athletic competitions, sports, and recreation events for mentally-challenged individuals. The Southwest region is comprised of 3,198 athletes and partners competing in 25 local programs.
Built in 1916, this community service agency offers athletic, educational, and recreational programs for youth, teens, adults, and seniors. The building is on the National Historic Register. It is a United Way agency.
Begun in 1908 as the Greenwich Boys’ Club, the original clubhouse was built in 1939. Girls were welcomed in 1985, and extensive renovations completed in 2006.
