Town agency with the function of administering, coordinating, contracting, monitoring, and planning all Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) activities. The federally sponsored Community Development Block Grant program offers annual grants for projects meeting HUD objectives such as principally benefiting low and moderate-income persons and meeting community needs that are unfunded by other sources.

The Commission administers programs under the National and Community Service Trust Act of 1993. The Commission is dedicated to supporting service and civic engagement to strengthen communities throughout Connecticut.
