Founded in 2007 by internationally renowned saxophonist Bennie Wallace to address declining support for music and arts programs across the country. BackCountry Jazz presents concerts and educational programs by celebrated jazz artists . BCJ works collaboratively with partner organizations to invigorate the community educationally and socially, while building future audiences for America’s unique cultural heritage, Jazz. Through concerts, educational programs, scholarships, and the summer music camp, BackCountry Jazz makes significant contributions to building stronger communities.
