Secretary Merrill is the official custodian of a wide array of public records and documents. Divisions within this office include: Election Services, Records and Legislative Services, Commercial Recording, Management and Support Services, and the State Board of Accountancy.

This office offers Information Technology, Educational Programs, Forms, Press Relations, Business Development, Campaign Finance, and publishes the CONNECTICUT STATE REGISTER AND MANUAL ( Blue Book), an annual directory of Connecticut government agencies.
