Human services recognizes that a number of Greenwich residents and their families struggle with issues related to severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse or addiction. People often feel isolated, lose hope and are not sure where to turn for assistance when experienceing a broad range of painful experiences, such as: Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Hoarding, Suicidal Thoughts; Anxiety, Panic; Stress, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Alcohol Abuse and Addiction; and Schizophrenia. This town department serves as a confidential, customized Bridge to appropriate Referral and Care for Greenwich Residents. They will also assist with conservatorship.
