Town agency responsible for planning the orderly growth of the town of Greenwich. It prepares a long-range plan for future development and recommendations for most desirable use of land within Town. It establishes, reviews, and regulates zoning standards for municipal improvement projects, lot splits, and single-family subdivisions and site plans for commercial and multi-family developments including building height, FAR (foot/area ratio), and setbacks. They maintain a compilation of demographic information on Greenwich and Fairfield County. Flood zone maps are available for public use. The Department of Public Works, listed separately, is the enforcement arm for P & Z. P & Z compiles a list of accessory apartments.  You must visit town hall for the information.
