GREENWICH REGISTRAR OF VOTERS

The primary duties of the Registrars are to register new voters, maintain voter registration records and enrollment records, publish lists of eligible voters, conduct a state required canvass of all voters, compile monthly reports of all activities concerning voters in town, and administer and oversee all elections, primaries and referenda in an accurate and impartial manner.

  • Registration Requirements To vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of the town where you wish to vote, at least 18 years of age, and registered on Election Day.
  • General Election: Residents may request a registration form to be sent and must return their form postmarked to the Registrar by November 1, 2016 in order to be permitted to participate in the November 8, 2016 election.  Registering In Person and On-Line deadline is November 1, 2016 at  8pm.  Those, whose rights as to age, citizenship, new residence, which were attained since November 1, 2016 may apply in person at the Registrars Office between 9am and 8pm on November 8 , 2016.
  • Special Voter Registration – In order to accommodate those citizens unable to register during regular work hours, the Registrars of Voters holds special registration sessions.
