Description:

Town facility offering cultural, recreational, educational, and social activities for seniors.  Any Greenwich resident age 55 and older who is able to function without assistance is welcome.  Transportation is available by reservation either by calling the Senior Center, or by calling CALL A RIDE directly. The offices of the GREENWICH COMMISSION ON AGING, USE (an employment service for seniors), AARP and TECHLOUNGE AT THE GREENWICH SENIOR CENTER are located in this building.

  • SILVERTONES – Co-ed singing group
  • PROGRAMS INCLUDE – CHESS, DRUMS, POOL TABLE, TREADMILL and MAH-JONGG
  • LUNCH -Hot luncheon served daily for a small fee.   Prepaid meal coupon packets are available. (call main number by 10:30 on desired day)
  • MOBILE MAMMOGRAM TRUCK – call for schedule
  • USE – Use Senior Energy – Employment service for seniors
  • DISCOUNTED TAXI RIDES – Voucher Booklets available, must pay in cash.  Rides must be within Greenwich. See also, TAG
  • SENIOR SERVICES – include;  ENERGY ASSISTANCE, LEGAL HELP, HEALTH & FOOD ASSISTANCE
  • DONATIONS – Good quality books and videos (not reference) magazines, yarn, and good fabric.   Perishable food is also welcome by previous arrangement.
