RIVER HOUSE ADULT DAY CENTER
River House Adult Day Center (formerly Greenwich Adult Day Care) is a private, non-profit organization that strives to enrich the lives of older adults confronted with age-related needs and/or impairments in a safe and enjoyable environment. In 1977, River House, then known as the Witherell Pavilion Club, opened its doors at NATHANIEL WITHERELL. In 2008, the program moved to its new home, a 1927 renovated railroad pump house, along the Mianus River. As a medical model day center, the organization is staffed by professionals, including a registered nurse who monitors and cares for the population. River House gives caregivers the time to return to work or to care for themselves while their care partner benefits from fun, therapeutic activities up to six days a week.
