REBUILDING TOGETHER FAIRFIELD COUNTY

Founded in 1988, this is a nationwide  community-based organization. Rebuilding Together Fairfield County, Inc. provides assistance to low-income homeowners who are not able to cover the costs of home repair. Typically, these individuals are elderly or have a disability or are families with children. Nonprofit facilities such as schools, shelters and daycare centers are also included.

Founded in 1982, this is the world’s largest private relief organization. Keeping overhead under 2%, it sends relief flights of medicine, medical equipment, and nutritional items to victims of natural disasters, famine, and war in 137 countries around the world.
